Benjamin Gullett (Percy Bysshe Shelley) was most recently seen in The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged).  Previous
to that, he co-directed and performed in

The Crucible; wrote, co-directed with Rainee Angles, and starred as Doctor Edward Squiggllydickler in Squiggllydickler; was an

Brandy Chandler (Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley) is a 2004 graduate of Shawnee State University, where she minored in theatre. She
was last seen in her SSCC Theatre debut as Elizabeth Proctor in
The Crucible. At Shawnee, she acted in over a dozen plays, including
Fool for Love, Extremities, Sweet Charity, Picasso at the Lapin Agile and More or Less Shakespeare. She has also participated in
productions at the Portsmouth Little Theater and the Southern Ohio Museum of Art, and was part of the Portsmouth cast for the Ohio
Art Council's
Wallpaper Project.
Bill Lange (George, The Lord Byron) a long-time veteran of the SSCC stage, returns after a four-year hiatus. A 1993 graduate of
SSCC, Bill has appeared in numerous plays including
Drop Dead, The Fantasticks, Harvey, Our Town, and Twelve Angry Men. Bill is
publisher/editor of
The People’s Defender in West Union.
Honey Smith (Claire Clairemont) made her SSCC Theatre debut this past spring in An Evening with David Ives: Sure Thing and
worked on house crew for
The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged). She has participated in performances at Tree of
Life Christian School, Thomas Worthington High School, and wrote, directed and performed in
Heaven at High Street Christian
Academy. In her free time she enjoys playing piano, composing music and painting.
Justin Stitch (Dr. William Polidori) is making his SSCC Theatre debut. He’s worked previously on productions as Todd, Hush Little
Celia, Don’t Say a Word
; Kenjie, The 1,000 Cranes; Kenickie, Grease; Antonie Benito, The Phantom of the County Opera; Improv Crew,
LCHS Variety Show; Senator Jack S. Phoghound, Li’l Abner; The Wizard, Once Upon a Mattress and as Grandpa and Santa Clause in
Cocoa & Carols.
Kimberly Michael (Harriet Westbrook) is making her SSCC Theatre debut. She has worked on various stage, make-up and prop crews
and performed in productions of
The Sound of Music, The Foreigner, Once Upon a Southern State Singers.
Howard Brenton (Playwright) co-wrote the London hit Pravda, with David Hare, which won Best Play of the Year for 1985. His play
Weapons of Happiness opened England’s National Theatre, also winning Best Play of the Year. He has had plays produced at the Royal
Shakespeare Company and the Royal Court Theatre in London. Other plays include:
Paul, Gum and Good, Scott of the Antarctic, Wesley
and
In Extremis. Recently, he’s worked on the BBC One television program Spooks or MI:5 (U.S. title).
Rainee Angles (Director) has been teaching speech and theatre at Southern State Community College for four years. She directs and
designs three mainstage productions each year. The SSCC 2007-2008 season includes tonight’s production of
Bloody Poetry and the
spring production,
The Curious Savage. She has also directed productions of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged);
An Evening with David Ives
; Fiddler on the Roof; The Crucible; I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change; One Day at the Zoo; The
Nerd
; Go Back to Your Precious Wife and Son; All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten and co-directed the premiere
production of
Squiggllydickler. Previous to SSCC, Rainee taught and directed at Hillsboro High School for eight years. Memorable
productions include
The Miracle Worker, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Little Shop of Horrors and A Christmas Carol. A former
member of ACT Theatre in Hillsboro, she also loves performing. Mrs. Angles has an MA in theatre, with an emphasis in directing, from
Roosevelt University, Chicago, Illinois.
Sarah Williams (Stage Manager) has worked as stage manager on such SSCC Theatre productions as The Complete Works of William
Shakespeare (Abridged)
, Theatre ASAP and Fiddler on the Roof. At Hillsboro High School she worked as stage manager on productions
of
The Best Christmas Pageant Ever; The King & I and Juvie. Other crew work includes: publicity and house for Hard Candy; set for
The Sound of Music and Arsenic and Old Lace; and she was also a member of the chorus for The Music Man. She is a SSCC student
pursuing a double associate’s degree in Law Enforcement and Corrections.
Jon Davidson (Composer & Sound Design): Mathematician, author, musician and composer, Jon Davidson joined SSCC in 1991 as a
mathematics professor. Recently he published three math books used in courses at SSCC and is working on a fourth. He holds a B.S. in
applied mathematics from Florida State University, and an M.S. in mathematics from University of Southern California. As an active
amateur musician, Davidson is a little more at home playing clarinet and sax in orchestra pits. For SSCC Theatre, he composed the score
for the 2006 production of
The Crucible. His acting experience includes roles in The Crucible, The Art of Dining, Working and Drop
Dead!
Several of Davidson's musical compositions have been performed locally, including Elegy for the Victims of Terrorism, Joy to the
World Variations and Sonata for Clarinet and Horn.
Will Klotz (Light & Set Design) has a BFA in Theatrical Production Arts from Ithaca College in New York. He was lighting designer for
SSCC Theatre’s productions of
The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) and Fiddler on the Roof. He has designed light
and sound for many other productions, including
The Bald Soprano. He has directed and designed a production of Godspell, and has
spent three years in summer stock. He has also produced several short plays and has had one of his original 10 minute plays adapted into
a film by a Florida film company.
Diane Evans & Judy Kirby (Costume Design) have both designed costumes for various organizations, parades, festivals and wedding
parties.
