Caitlin Ryan (Publicity): Caitlin is a second-year student at SSCC. She did publicity for The Nerd at SSCC and was director’s
assistant for
Bow Down at HCCS, where she has acted in several minor roles. She enjoys reading, listening to her iPod, and working
to better the lives of nerds everywhere. After receiving her associate's of arts this June, Caitlin hopes to attend classes at SSCC for
another year before transferring to a four-year college to get a bachelor’s degree in English. She also looks forward to taking over
Oprah Winfrey's role as the most powerful woman in the world.
Cristi Arnold-Brownlee: Cristi is in her second year at SSCC. She has previously been seen onstage in the productions
Brigadoon, The Miracle Worker, The Wizard of Oz, Friends Ensemble, Kings Co. and One Day at the Zoo. Cristi's activities include
writing, researching, being a wife and mother, and any other strange things she can think of to try. When asked about her future
plans, Cristi replies, "You just never know!"
Jen Bogenschutz: Jen, a drama teacher at Hillsboro High School, is no stranger to the stage. She has appeared in many plays,
musicals, and operettas in high school, college, and community theater. She has directed
Steel Magnolias, The King & I, Arsenic and
Old Lace
, The Sound of Music and several one-act plays for HHS. Jen is a member of the chancel choir at Faith Community United
Methodist Church in Xenia. She hopes to someday fulfill the story line of
I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change by getting
married, having a bunch of noisy children, and growing old.
Benjamin Gullett: This production marks Benjamin’s 25th stage performance, and his 5th show in which the title of the show has
more than six words in it! His past SSCC performances include Rick Steadman in Larry Shue’s
The Nerd, an ensemble actor in All I

, Pseudolus in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and El Gallo in
The Fantasticks. Benjamin's other performances include Wright State University’s One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and a
production of Neil Simon’s
Laughter on the 23rd Floor, in which he directed and portrayed Max Prince. His resume also includes
many, many productions at Hillsboro High School, including shows such as
A Christmas Carol and Little Shop of Horrors. This

Joey Haas: Joey is a junior at HHS. She has previously been seen in many performances at HHS, including her roles as Abby

, Sister Sophia in The Sound of Music, Dina in Juvie: A Night of One Acts, Roxie James in Disgrace: A Night of One

, Wife 13 in The King & I, and the Ghost of Christmas Future in A Christmas Carol. She has also provided lights and sound for
Hard Candy: A Night of One Acts and Nights of Improv VI and VII. Joey is also a member of ITS and symphonic choir. She plans
to travel to Japan with her friends. After her return to the US, she is considering attending a big film school; she hopes to make it big
one day! Joey also wants to become a video game tester for Square-Enix, Capcom, or Kommi.
Sara Ledger: Sara is a junior at HHS. Her past performances include her role as Beth in Uncool, a wife in The King & I, and a
townsperson in
The Music Man. Sara has worked on the publicity crew of The King & I, John Lennon and Me, and The Sound of
Music
, and was program editor for Steel Magnolias. Her activities include serving as treasurer for Hi-Y and ITS and participating in
Leo Club, Quick Recall, band, symphonic choir, and the National Honor Society. Sara plans to go to college.
Melissa Nelson: Melissa is a senior at HHS. Her previous performances at HHS include Tuptim in The King & I, Frau Zellar and
Nun in
The Sound of Music, Pick a Little Lady in The Music Man, Martha in The Miracle Worker, Girl #3 in I Know I Saw Gypsies
and God in
When God Comes for Breakfast You Don't Burn the Toast. Melissa has also worked on the makeup crew for Steel
Magnolias
, John Lennon and Me, and My Fair Lady, and was stage manager for It's Sad, So Sad When an Elf Goes Bad. She is the
vice president of ITS, is a soprano in Hillsboro's symphonic choir, and enjoys her Art 4 class. Melissa will begin studies at Northern
Kentucky University in the fall, where she will study vocal performance to follow her dream of becoming an opera singer and
traveling the world.
Shannon O'Brien: Shannon is a freshman at HHS. Although she is the youngest member of the I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now
Change
cast, Shannon is already a veteran of theater. Her past performances include playing a royal wife in The King & I, a timpani
player in
A Night of One Acts, Mrs. Claus in her 6th grade Christmas play, and Bark the dog in Gonna Have an Earth Day. She has
also done crew work for
The Sound of Music and The Music Man. In her spare time, Shannon enjoys reading, hanging out with her
friends and creating a general nuisance gallivanting around with various posse, writing stories, and watching old movies while eating
popcorn and Raisinettes. Her future plans include backpacking across Europe, going to an Ivy League school, and working in New
York a freelance writer and/or Broadway actress.
Seth Parshall: Although he is no stranger to the stage, Perfect is only Seth's third appearance with Southern State’s theater. His
past theater work includes directing
Bow Down at Highland County Christian School; acting and providing accompaniment for many
productions in the area; acting as Glen Ridgeland in
One Day at the Zoo and as a Protean in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to
the Forum
at SSCC; and providing publicity for All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten. He has a profound love and
devotion to music, and as far as acting goes, he refers to the excellent words of Katherine Hepburn: “Acting is the most minor of
gifts and not a very high-class way to earn a living. After all, Shirley Temple could do it at the age of four.” Seth is currently
employed at Highland District Hospital. Seth will begin studying at The University of Southern Mississippi in the fall to pursue a
career in neurosurgery.
Charles D. Penird, Jr: Charles, a 2003 graduate of Miami Trace High School, currently attends classes at Southern State
Community College.
I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change is his first production at SSCC, with Charles cast in several roles
including Stan, James, a pizza guy, a member of the chorus, and a husband. His other show credits include the 2002 MTHS
production of Shakespeare’s
A Midsummer Night’s Dream, in which he was cast as Oberon, and the 2003 production of Once Upon
a Mattress
, in which he was cast as Prince Dauntless. Prior to attending SSCC, Charles attended Bowling Green State University,
majoring in instrumental music education. While at BGSU, Charles’s extensive performance schedule with instrumental ensembles led
him to Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Mobile, and Seattle. He is a member of the Ohio Collegiate Music Education Association and
Kappa Kappa Psi, the National Honorary Band Service Fraternity. After spring quarter at SSCC, Charles will attend Wright State
University to complete a Bachelor of Music in Music Education degree. Charles currently resides in Bloomingburg, where he teaches
privately and works with area high school instrumental ensembles while working full time and performing with the Fayette County
Community Band. The following is one of Charles’s favorite quotations: “I've never known a musician who regretted being one.

George Quallen: George, a former student at SSCC, first introduced to Hillsboro audiences as a member of "A.C.T." nearly 20
years ago. Over the years, George has participated in productions by Shadow Box, Gaslight Theater Players, and SSCC's theater
group "Charade." He has held many positions, including stage manager, lights and sound manager, and actor/singer. Some of the
musical productions include
The Mikado, The Fantasticks, and Love Rides the Rails. In addition to theater, George is a vocalist who
has assisted with many local programs, including "St. Mary's at Noon" and as the Irish tenor for the HHS Chorus's fundraiser "A
Night of Opera." He has also performed vocally for many events across the state, including special performances at Columbus's and
Dayton's Convention Centers. George plans to continue studying music, and would like to branch out to other areas of theater,
including direction, makeup, production, and writing.
Mounia Rankin: Mounia is a talented actress with an impressive number of past cast and crew work. She was a cast member in
A Night of Improv, A Christmas Carol, and Cinderella Cinderella at HHS, and was in Everywoman and 12 Angry Women at the
Marymount College of Fordham University. She has done crew work for
The Secret Garden, Up the Down Staircase, and The
Female Odd Couple
and was stage manager for Little Shop of Horrors. Mounia was also an honors thespian at HHS. She attended
the Ohio State University and majored in Human Development and Family Science, and currently works for the Clermont YMCA as a
Site Administrator. Mounia also got married in September.
Derek Stockwell: Derek is a senior at Washington High School. He has previously been seen as Snowboy in West Side Story and
Beast in
Beauty and the Beast. Derek is a member of the Grace Community and First Presbyterian youth groups and Washington's
marching/pep symphonic bands. He plans to attend Cedarville University to major in history education with a minor in theater.
Andrew "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named" Tabor: Andy is a student at SSCC. A veteran of theater in the Hillsboro
community, Andy has played Theseus in
A Midsummer Night's Dream, the Wicked Witch of the West/Miss Gulch in The Wizard of
Oz
, Pablo the Servant in The Miracle Worker, Alfred P. Doolittle in My Fair Lady, Harold Hill in The Music Man, Dr. Rhodes in John

, Willum Cubbert in The Nerd and was an ensemble cast member in All I Really Need to Know I Learned in

. Before graduating from SSCC, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named will attempt to become the Yugioh Grand Champion in
order to complete his Destiny. He will be attending UC in the fall as a Middle Childhood Education major, and within the next 50
years, he hopes to become the almighty Pope.

choir and Hillsboro ITS. He is also a Life Scout in Boy Scout troop 226, and is currently working on his Eagle Rank. After taking
over the world and opening an international house of cheese in every country, Daniel’s future plans include attending SSCC and
transferring to study to become a high school history teacher.
Brian Duff (Lighting Designer): Brian is a second-year student at SSCC. His past theater work includes One Day at the Zoo,
The Nerd, and Go Back to Your Precious Wife and Son at SSCC, and Arsenic and Old Lace, The Sound of Music, The Music Man,
My Fair Lady, The Miracle Worker, The Wizard of Oz, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Little Shop of Horrors, A Christmas Carol and
Midnight Wax at Hillsboro High School. His hobbies are playing bass in a band, watching TV, and computer games, and he currently
works at Radio Shack. Brian will transfer to NKU in the fall to work on a degree in theater technologies.
Josh Ferrin (Stagehand): Josh is in his third year at SSCC. He was a stagehand for A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the
Forum
and did lights for One Day at the Zoo at SSCC. Josh is a member of a bowling league and 4-H. He plans to attend a four-year
university to earn a bachelor of arts. He's also a young, handsome bachelor.
Mitch Gall (Stagehand): Mitch is a freshman at HHS. This is his first theater production. Mitch enjoys art, including drawing and
painting. His other hobbies include gaming and collecting useless belongings. Mitch's future plans involve directing movies for the
blind.
William Garrison (Stage Manager): Billy is a student at SSCC. His past performances include his role as Sam Ericson in One
Day at the Zoo
at SSCC and as a dancer in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and State Fair at Greenfield High School. He has also
worked on the stage crew and sound for
The Nerd at SSCC. Billy is striving to become a set designer, and he hopes
to design and build as many sets as possible.
Alex Hale (Stagehand): Alex is a freshman at HHS. This is his second production for SSCC; he worked on sound for One Day
at the Zoo
last quarter. Alex would like to work on game programming and simulation in the future.
Molly Hensley (Costumes/Makeup): Molly is in her second year at SSCC. She was costume designer for The Nerd and is
currently writing a script for a play. She has also helped choreograph movement for "The Marriage Tango." Molly is a theatre major
and plans to transfer to another college after her completion at SSCC.
Cyndi Kisamore (Props): Cyndi graduated from SSCC's LPN program in March of 2004. She is currently in her third quarter of
the RN program at SSCC. She doesn't have much experience with acting or drama, but she did publicity for
One Day at the Zoo at
SSCC last quarter. She was also in chamber ensemble in high school, has sung at weddings and funerals, and was involved in a
gospel group known as the Terry Collins and Victory way back in 1986. She wishes she had more time for the performing arts, but
right now her time is very limited.
Kyle Mattingly (Sound): Kyle is a student at SSCC. He served as a sound engineer for East Clinton High School and Clinton
Massie High School from 1997-2002. His hobbies include playing music, photography, and cow tipping. Kyle wants to move to
California and live on the beach.
Amy Petzold (Costumes/Makeup): Amy is a senior at HHS and a post-secondary student at SSCC. She has been seen in many
performances in Hillsboro, including her roles as Clairee Belcher in
Steel Magnolias, Wife and Dancer in The King & I, Martha
Brewster in
Arsenic and Old Lace, Beatrice in When God Comes for Breakfast You Don't Burn the Toast, Frau Schmidt and Nun in

John Lennon & Me. She is a member of 4-H, ITS, NHS, and symphonic choir. Amy plans to attend the University of the
Cumberlands, where she will study psychology.
