Meredith Shea (Alexander) makes her SSCCTHEATRE mainstage debut with this production. Previous

Joey Haas (Ensemble #1) could last be seen on the stage in SSCC Theatre’s one-act: The Whole Shebang as
Professor B. Other roles include: Fury #5 in The Insanity of Mary Girard and as part of the ensemble of I
Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change. Joey, in the past at Hillsboro High School, could be seen as: Ouiser
Boudreaux, Steel Magnolias; Wife 13, The King & I; Abby Brewster, Arsenic and Old Lace; Sister Sophia,
The Sound of Music; Eulalie Shinn, The Music Man and as Sally Kasem in John Lennon & Me.
Jamie McCoy (Ensemble #2) was last in the one-act, The Whole Shebang, as The Student. Other roles
include Fury #3 in The Insanity of Mary Girard; Dame Ellen Terry and Darlene Silverman, Wrong Place,
Wrong Time; Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz and as Portia in Cinderella. She also worked on the props crew for
Bloody Poetry.
Roodie Eichman (Ensemble #3) was part of SSCC Theatre’s production of Pride & Prejudice, working
backstage as part of the make-up and hair crew. She also understudied the role of Lady Catherine. Outside of
SSCC Theatre, Roodie has been part of the ensemble for No, No, Nanette and portrayed Silvie in Oklahoma.
Roodie makes her SSCCTHEATRE debut with this production.
Kyle Baker (Ensemble #4) was last seen as part of the ensemble for Pride & Prejudice. He has previously
played such roles as: Sasha, Fiddler on the Roof; Radio Show Host, Annie and Scrooge’s Nephew in A
Christmas Carol.
Carrie Chalker (Ensemble #5) is a student at Peebles High School. Previous roles include: Miss Hannigan,
Annie; Princess Winnifred, Once Upon a Mattress and Ado Annie in Oklahoma. This is Carrie’s
SSCCTHEATRE mainstage debut.
Julianne Cartaino (Ensemble #6) has no previous theatre experience, but is very excited to be starting here.

Josh Keidel (Ensemble #7) was last seen on stage in The Insanity of Mary Girard as Fury #4 and worked
on the crew and provided the “voice” for The Whole Shebang. He has also previously played the roles of
Prince Dauntless, Once Upon a Mattress; Jud, Oklahoma and Oz Man #1 in The Wizard of Oz.
Judith Viorst (Book & Lyrics) was born and raised in New Jersey and has lived in Washington, D.C., since
her marriage to political writer Milton Viorst in 1960. They have three adult sons whose names are the same as
those of the brothers in her play Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. A graduate of
Rutgers University and the Washington Psychoanalytic Institute, Viorst is the author of numerous books of
poetry and prose for both children and adults.
Shelly Markham (Music) was commissioned to write Flavia and the Dream Maker with librettist Doug
Haverty and lyricist Bob Garrett in 1991 and enjoyed the experience immensely. A native of Chicago, Illinois,
he moved to New York City where he wrote special material for "Captain Kangaroo." He then migrated to Los
Angeles, where he collaborated with acclaimed writer Judith Viorst as a theatre composer, beginning with the
musical revue, Love & Shrimp, based on Viorst's extensive collections of poetry books. He also wrote songs
that are featured in the hit off-Broadway musical Naked Boys Singing.
Rainee Angles (Director) is an Assistant Professor of Speech and Theatre at SSCC. She directs three
mainstage plays and a one-act each season, although she took a break from directing this past fall to return to
the stage as Mary Girard in The Insanity of Mary Girard. Rainee has directed approximately fifteen shows in
her five years at SSCC including such favorites as Jane Austen and Jon Jory's Pride & Prejducie, Howard
Brenton’s Bloody Poetry, Arthur Miller’s The Crucible and Larry Shue’s The Nerd. Previous to SSCC, Rainee
taught and directed theatre at Hillsboro High School. She has an MA in Theatre, with an emphasis in directing
from Roosevelt University, Chicago, Illinois.
David White (Music Director) has been the vocal music teacher at Hillsboro High School for seven years. A
Rainee Angles as music director for the SSCC Theatre productions Fiddler on the Roof and I Love You,
You're Perfect, Now Change. He has also performed in productions as The Salesman in Squiggllydickler and
as the narrator in All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten. Mr. White lives in Hillsboro with his
wife, Amy, daughter Clara, and sons, Micah and Ezra.
Sarah Williams (Stage Manager) has worked as stage manager on such SSCC Theatre productions as Pride
& Prejudice, The Insanity of Mary Girard, Lone Star & Laundry, The Curious Savage, Squiggllydickler,
Bloody Poetry, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), Theatre ASAP and Fiddler on the
Roof. At Hillsboro High School she worked as stage manager on productions of The Best Christmas Pageant
Ever; The King & I and Juvie. A recent graduate of SSCC, Sarah begins studies at Wright State University in
the fall.
